Mappy

 Mappy ran for 13 episodes from July 2013 to January 2014 on YouTube. The series takes place in the 2010s, where Mappy gets a job at the Nyamco office building as a security guard, three decades after a particularly nasty art theft that Goro and his Meowkies committed in the 80s. It turns out that this is also a front for Goro, who is planning another evil scheme that he wants Mappy in particular to solve. Goro misses him, after all. It's basically up to Mappy and his friends, Dig Dug and Sky Kid, to solve this crime. Oh right, did I mention there are quite a few Namco characters that make appearances in this lil web animation?

 Mappy is my personal favorite of the ShiftyLook animations, and I do not say this lightly. The animatic-like style, the iMovie music used for the soundtrack, the punchlines, the amount of Namco references put in? My god. This is peak 2013 entertainment at its finest.

 I will admit during my first watchthrough I was a tad bit unsure of what to think. But after revisiting it after hearing several people infodump about the show, I Get It. I actually understand now. It's a very fun watch and I do highly recommend it.
